Alexander William Kinglake

Alexander William Kinglake (5 Ağustos 1809 Taunton, Somerset - 2 Ocak 1891) İngiliz devlet adamı ve tarihçi.
Kinglake Eton College'de eğitim gördü ve Cambridge Üniversitesi'nde okudu. 1837 yılında Londra'da yerel yönetici olarak siyaset yaşamını, 1857-68 yılları arasında Liberal Partiden für Parlamentoya girerek sürdürdü. Özellikle uluslararası politika alanında görev aldı.
Yazdığı gezi notları sayesinde bir şarkiyatcı olarak tanındı. İlk eseri ''Eothen'' (1844, yeni basımı. 1864) olmasına karşın, Osmanlı Türkiyesi ve Kırım'a yaptığı gezi notlarının yer aldığı yedi ciltlik eseri ''The invasion of the Crimea'' (Londra 1863-75, 5 Cilt; 6. Basım. 1883, 7 Cilt.)ile ün yaptı. 'Kırım'a müdahale adı taşıyan bu eseri Kırım Savaşı alanında temel eserler arasında sayıldı. Yukarıdaki bilgiler Wikipedia'dan alınmıştır
